Rural Workforce Initiative
The Rural Workforce Initiative is a partnership between the Palisade Chamber of Commerce and the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce. It was created to support the unique workforce needs of rural communities like Fruita, Palisade, and the surrounding areas. Our goal is to help people in rural areas find quality jobs, connect local businesses with skilled workers, and build strong career pathways for both youth and adults. We work closely with schools, employers, and training programs to create opportunities that strengthen our rural economies and help our communities grow and succeed.

Resource Tours
A goal of the Rural Workforce Initiative is to connect our members with resources available in Mesa County that strengthen our local economies and empower youth and adult learners in Palisade, Fruita, and surrounding areas.
One way we accomplish this is through our resource tours. Through these tours we are able to help our members become acquainted with the resources available in the community as well as familiarize themselves to it by visiting the location.
Want to Become Involved?
We are always looking for more businesses to become involved in the committee! If interested, please get in touch with Jessica from the Palisade Chamber of Commerce or Kayla from the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce.
